Aptitude and Growth Explained

Aptitude turns two otherwise identical Lumi into different candidates. Read both the current value and that individual's ceiling before you decide who to train.

01

The four aptitude values

ATK affects offensive potential, DEF and HP support survivability, and Work is used for a Lumi's non-combat specialty. A profile presents the same four fields, so comparisons stay consistent across the roster.

Use Stat Rankings to spot the strongest recorded values, then return to the profile to judge type, trait, and skill kit rather than choosing from a number alone.

02

Why duplicate catches matter

Aptitude ceilings differ between individual catches. Two copies of one species may therefore develop differently even when their type and skill list are the same.

Keep the comparison focused on the role you need: an attacker benefits from a stronger combat profile, while a home assignment may make Work the deciding field.

03

A practical comparison routine

Compare candidates at the same stage, note the four ceilings, and choose the one that fits your next use. Do not discard a lower combat roll automatically if it solves a type coverage or Work need.

As new skills unlock, re-check the candidate's energy costs and trait. A growth choice works best when stats and kit point in the same direction.

04

Choose by the job you need next

Decide whether the next job is a battle role or a home assignment before comparing candidates. That question tells you whether to begin with combat aptitude, Work, type coverage, or a particular trait and skill.

When two catches are close, compare the full profile at the same stage. A small advantage in one value should not outweigh a type gap, an unsuitable skill cost, or a role that the rest of the roster already fills.
