Catching
Catching uses Starlit Energy, a Starlit Compass, and a Lumi Card. The Compass shows catch rate; the tutorial's first catch is 100%.
Aptitude
ATK, DEF, HP, and Work ceilings vary by Lumi. Repeated catches let you compare individuals.
Unlocks
Traits unlock at level 10 and the second skill unlocks at level 20.
Teams
You begin with one team slot. Exploration levels 5 and 8 unlock the other two.
Types
The Lumidex records 17 types. Check the type chart before a difficult battle.

Catch the tutorial Lumi, open its profile, and read its type, aptitude values, trait, and skills before investing. The first team does not need perfect numbers; it needs a useful answer to the next encounter.
At exploration levels 5 and 8, add the remaining team slots with coverage in mind. Before a difficult battle, use the type chart, then make sure the skill costs and possible switch are practical.
