Starcolor Lumi: Cards, Prism Mirrors and Color Rerolls

Starcolor adds a special appearance to a Rainbow Lumi. Catch one with a Starcolor card, awaken one you already own, or hatch an eligible egg. The English Stellarize task menu is used for Return to Stars tasks.

01

Quality, Starcolor and Stellarize are different

Rainbow describes quality, Starcolor changes appearance, and Stellarize submits Lumi for task rewards. Menu labels can vary by region.

Catch a Starcolor Lumi

This route starts with a wild Rainbow Lumi. The card must be selected before the catch; an ordinary catch does not retroactively use a Starcolor card.

  1. Encounter a wild Rainbow Lumi in an available map.
  2. Tap the currently selected catch card and switch to a Starcolor Lumi Card.
  3. Check the selected card and capture the Lumi.
  4. Open the owned Lumi's profile and look for its Starcolor icon and color appearance.

Awaken an existing Rainbow Lumi

In Japan, the first Starcolor unlock on an owned Rainbow Lumi costs 10 Prism Mirrors. A later color reroll has a separate cost.

Select the intended individual, open its Starcolor controls, and check eligibility and the confirmation cost. For a Starcolor egg, check its eligible species and season before opening it.

Reroll a color and choose the result

In Japan, a color reroll costs 1 Prism Mirror. On Global, you can choose to keep the new color or the current color after rolling. Compare both results before confirming.

  1. Choose the Starcolor Lumi in your owned roster and tap its Starcolor icon.
  2. Open the reroll control and check the required Prism Mirrors.
  3. Roll once, then compare the displayed new color with the current color.
  4. Select the result you want to keep and confirm it using the buttons shown in your version.
05

Which Lumi should get the first unlock?

For collection rewards, start with an unfilled species in the required Starcolor Lumidex. Rerolling a registered species changes its appearance rather than adding a missing species.

In Japan, completing the Main Starcolor Lumidex rewards Lilirius, while the S1 Starcolor Lumidex rewards Pterolux. For appearance, choose a favorite individual you plan to keep; for battle, compare aptitude, trait and skills first.

In Japan, Starcolor does not directly increase combat stats. Choose a color you like, and check your current profile before spending resources for an expected ATK or HP increase.

Before using a limited card or prism

Choose the individual you intend to keep, then read the action and cost in its confirmation screen. Catching, unlocking an appearance and rerolling a color are separate actions; check which one is selected.

For a collection reward, open that specific collection page first and read what counts toward it. A color change on an existing individual and obtaining a missing species need different decisions.
